Fighting for:

+ Quality Jobs

+ World Class Schools

+ Unlimited Opportunity for All Marylanders!

Why have our so called leaders failed to attract high paying, career sustaining jobs?

...Because government domination and intrusion, through confiscatory taxing and tediously frustrating bureaucratic regulation is killing the "golden goose" of economic enterprise. That is why the most urgent issue facing Charles County and all jurisdictions across the state and our nation is the overreach of government at all levels.

Biography

Kirk Bowie

CCRCC Member

Kirk Bowie is a 15 year resident of Waldorf with family roots reaching back over 350 years in Charles County.  He is an employee/owner with CALIBRE Systems, Inc., a defense industry management services and information technology company headquartered in Alexandria, Va.  Kirk has been with the firm for the past 15 years, and currently serves as a Program Manager / Principal Analyst supporting the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Cost & Economics, on the Operating and Support Management Information System (OSMIS) contract.  OSMIS is an official Army information system developed for tracking weapon system cost and building factor metrics that help determine the more than $5 Billion portion of the Army’s annual Operating and Support base budget and the approximately $8 Billion portion of it’s wartime (OIF/OEF) in theatre requirements.  Kirk is also a former Army Officer at the rank of Major, serving both, on active duty during the Cold War and in the Reserves during the 1990s.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Marshall University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University.

For more than 25 years, Kirk has worked to help Republican candidates, both here in Maryland and in Southern California. He was a member of the Santa Clarita California Republican Assembly, and upon returning to his home state in 1995 immediately became involved with local Republican Party activities, supporting various candidates and campaigns. He has been a voting member of the Charles County Republican Central Committee (CCRCC) since 2007, and was selected  as the Charles County Republican Man of the Year in 2009.  He has been the lead organizer for many of the committees fund raising activities, and initiated the CCRCC Blue Crabs Red Hot & Blue evenings that have enjoyed great success and proven to be a fun filled event, providing an outlet for expressing Republican Party pride, for all who have attended.

Kirk resides in Waldorf with his wife of 25 years Patricia; Patricia works under a statewide grant, to provide bilingual learning opportunities to local pre-schoolers, through the Charles County Library system and is an active member of the Republican Women of Charles County.  Kirk attends Calvary Chapel of Waldorf, where he serves as usher and greeter. Kirk and Patricia’s son Kyle is a senior at the Towson University, studying Graphic Arts, who also plays (during his free time) bass guitar, for the locally famous “Friends of the Octopi” rock band (often featured at the Recher Club in Towson and encroaching on Governor Martin O’Malley’s turf).
